Hand casts in times of Illness and Bereavement
My work of precious moments will give you lasting joy and comfort in a unique and special way.
Illness
I work with people when they have been given the devastating news that they have a terminal or life changing illness. The whole process of creating hand casts at this stage is therapeutic and comforting, especially for children.
When memories are created in the earlier stages of an illness prices are the same as my original prices as I only create the one cast.
I pride myself on making sure that the process of taking the impressions is as light hearted and engaging as I possibly can for the family. Leaving lasting joy and comfort to loved ones and those who need it at such sad times in their lives.
*Bereavement
Of course it's not always possible to create memories and keepsakes before a loved one passes, so I have a range of options for those who have recently lost a loved one. I work closely with your chosen funeral service to visit your loved one before the funeral service takes place.
*Please note, this service is only available in the Calderdale area. Home visits can be arranged.
2D Casts
£175
These casts can be taken at any time during a loved ones illness or when your loved one has passed away.
3D Casts
£200
After a loved one has passed a 3D cast can only be taken if your loved one is not already in their coffin.
I always take 2 casts so I can then choose which cast will have the best finish. With the spare cast you can either have it how it is? Or I can also complete the cast for half the original price.
A double hand cast can be created with your loved one.
This would be 2 separate sessions. Casting your loved ones hand and once my work has been completed and the cast has dried completely ( roughly 3 weeks ) I would arrange to meet with yourself and recast your hand around your loved one.
A family cast can also be created with as many hands around the original casting.
There is an additional cost for this process.

Ashes And Hair To Hand Casts
£25 to add ashes/hair to any hand cast.
A unique and special way to keep loved ones close is by adding some of your loved ones ashes or hair.
I mix the ashes/hair into the stone cast plaster when casting.
Ashes/hair need to be available when the cast is taken due to the quick process of casting times required.
Feathers
Feathers can be added to any framed memories I create helping to keep your loved ones memory alive.
No cost for feathers however the price of framing will increase.
